Finally, an addition to this cracktro blog again. That's right, this is no longer the homepage, but a subpage on a larger new website. It was high time for this renewal since I'm dealing with more and more business contacts who like to take a look at what I'm doing and what I've done. A simple cracktro doesn't suffice anymore, and a few pages with more information are handy to have. Still, I didn't want to say goodbye to this cracktro page, so it's been converted to a simple little blog. I was initially thinking about making a whole fancy new cracktro page full of effects that people in the demoscene know and love, but not everyone is charmed by that. That's why I chose a somewhat more professional-looking website. As you may have noticed, there are still a lot of effects. I admit that this is a big exercise to see what I can do and what beautiful frameworks are on the market nowadays (I'm looking at you, CODEF and Greensock ;) ). This page is not finished yet. There are still some things I want to see, do and change differently (Yes, I know, the Retro Donny Page doesn't do anything special yet), but for now it's good enough. The livestreams are going well, I'm writing some reviews for tech outlets, the merch store is up and running, and I occasionally make or present a video. On to the next step, but first time to chill. Until next time. ------------------------------------------------------- Ah yes, after more than 10 years he's finally back! It's true, I let my little old website wither and die. But... It's not all bad, I learned a lot and here it is, in all it's full glory demoscene/cracktro style! Just the way I like it. No more Flash, no more HTML 4.01 and no more heavy Java applets. As you can see, all the pictures are gone, and so is the information on all my other projects I was working on. Where are they now? Well since the dawn of (social) media websites, it's no longer necessary to leave all your stuff on your own separate website. So yeah, you can find some of my artwork, pictures and video's on websites like Twitter, Twitch and YouTube. The rest... is gone. I either lost it, made an offline back-up or just threw it away because I didn't like it anymore. Ah well, these things happen. So, you might ask, what's this site for? What's its purpose? Well, there is no purpose. This website is just my little playground. When I'm trying out new stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else, I'll put it here. Maybe, in the near future, I'll expand this site once more and place some other stuff here. I might even embed my live- streams and Twitter-feed here, who knows. But if I do that, I'll have to juggle with cookies and stuff, meh. BUT... on the other hand. My streaming channel is getting more and more popular. People are actually asking for merch So I guess It's time to give this lil' ol' site another update and actually link to my streaming page and merch store. This is still a work in progress so for the time being, this beautiful page will serve as a placeholder for now. Hope you like it! When I started experimenting with a site like this, it was perfectly normal to create a page with music that automatically starts. But nowaday's that's not done, so I had to find a workaround. It worked. Instead of uploading a gigantic mp3 or ogg, I decided to take the oldschool demoscene route and used good old XM music, just the way I like it. Well, I guess that's it then. I wanted to tell you a lot more but, I don't have anything to say for the moment. Hahaha, this has to be funny for the people who know me personally. It's very rare that I'm at a loss of words. Oh well. I'll probably update this text in the near future and pretend it's my little blog. Didn't want to let it go to waste so I created this quick and dirty page around it. Huge shoutout to Mellow Man and Nonameno for creating CODEF. I found out along the way that slipstream/RoL's code is based on their work, so thanks! font: dMG/Up Rough & Divine Stylers awesome chiptune: bzl/cRO <3 Other resources: Resources: Greensock, Codepen (Cassie Evans, Malven)
